General Information:
 

The Humpback Whale watching event in the Dominican Republic is a unique experience that takes place between January and March. The trip starts from the hotels to Las Cañitas de Miches. From there, you embark to the Whale Sanctuary for an approximately 2.5 hour whale watch.

After the whale watching, the trip continues to Cayo Levantado or Bacardi Island, where you will enjoy a buffet lunch of typical Dominican food and beach time.

Afterwards, you will take a Safari-type transportation to a ranch, where you will ride horses for a 30-minute ride through a virgin forest and along the river, until you reach the Salto del Limón waterfall. There, you can enjoy a refreshing and rejuvenating bath in a waterfall of more than 60 meters high.

Finally, you return to the ranch and take the transportation back to the Samana pier for the return trip.

Itinerary:

06:00am - Departure from Bayahibe
07:20am - Departure from Bávaro 
09:30am - Arrival at Las Cañitas Pier, board the boat and start searching and whale watching.
11:30am - End of whale watching and departure to Cayo Levantado for lunch and beach time (approximately one hour and a half).
12:00pm - Arrival to Cayo Levantado, Lunch and beach time.
01:30pm - Departure from Cayo to Samana.
01:50am - Arrival to Samana, Boarding Truck to Limon Waterfall.
02:30pm - Arrive at the Ranch and ride horseback to Cascada. Time to Cascada 2 hours approx.
04:30 pm - Return to the Ranch and boarding truck and departure to Samana Pier.
05:00pm - Arrival at the pier, boarding boat and departure to Las Cañitas. 
06:00pm and 07:00pm Return to Bayahibe and Punta Cana.​
